Scent Society Australia was born from a simple belief – that luxury candles should feel special, not exclusive.
Like many candle lovers, we found ourselves choosing between two extremes. On one side, big-name brands with beautiful packaging and inflated price tags. On the other, affordable options that lacked depth, quality, and craftsmanship. We knew there had to be another way – one that honoured fragrance, storytelling, and design, without unnecessary mark-ups.
So we created Scent Society Australia.
Proudly based on the Gold Coast, Scent Society is built on the idea that fragrance is more than a scent – it is a feeling, a memory, a moment. Every candle we create is designed to take you somewhere. From the comfort of mulled wine on a winter evening, to sun-warmed beaches, fresh blooms, and familiar rituals at home, our fragrances are layered, considered, and never ordinary.
We don’t believe in single-note scents or generic blends. Our candles are triple-scented, complex, and thoughtfully crafted to evolve as they burn. They are made to spark emotion, elevate everyday moments, and feel just as special lit on a quiet night in as they do when given as a gift.
By designing and producing in-house and cutting out big-company mark-ups, we make premium, clean-burning, toxin-free candles accessible and without compromise.

Dan

Dan is the founder of Scent Society Australia and the creative force behind the brand. A scientist by day, Dan brings a rare blend of precision, creativity, and obsessive attention to detail into everything we create.
What began as a personal passion for fragrance and design quickly became something much more than he ever thought possible. Dan oversees fragrance development, branding, and creative direction, ensuring every candle reflects the same balance of quality, storytelling, and refinement Scent Society Australia is known for.
His approach is intentional and hands-on – from scent composition and testing to packaging, copy, and visual identity. Every detail matters, because every candle is meant to feel considered, not mass-produced.
Michael

Michael leads Sales and Brand Experience for Scent Society Australia. With a background in interior design and experience as a private chef, Michael has an intuitive understanding of how fragrance, space, and presentation work together to shape how people feel in their homes.
Currently also working as a design consultant, Michael brings a strong sense of balance, warmth, and practicality to the brand. He plays a key role in shaping the customer experience and ensuring Scent Society candles feel just as beautiful styled on a shelf as they do when lit.
Michael works closely with business customers and clients to help them choose scents that suit their gifting requirements and space, their mood, and the moments they want to create.
